Cannes is a town of morning light on the water, of palm-lined promenades, and of a hillside old quarter, Le Suquet, that looks down over the harbour. Guests from Zurich, Geneva or Basel often tell me it is the Riviera at its most civilised: the airport at Nice is close, the islands of Lérins lie just offshore, and the evenings are unhurried. I have no villas online for Cannes at present, yet I arrange stays there all the same. Send me your dates, the size of your party and the pace you wish for, and I will put forward a villa on request.
