Across the bay from Saint-Tropez, Sainte-Maxime looks out over the water to the hills on the far shore, and that view is much of its charm. The town sits on the Côte d'Azur, known to many Swiss guests as the French Riviera, and it keeps a quieter rhythm than its famous neighbour.
