A terrace set into the side of the slopes, looking straight down the valley: that is Le Rond Point in Méribel, a bar and restaurant in the heart of the Three Valleys ski area. I send guests here when a day on skis calls for a proper pause. It serves lunch, snacks and drinks, and according to the booking page it is open every day from 9am to 7pm.
Music is the first thing I would mention. There is live music every day of the week, with après-ski bands and sometimes DJs. Breakfast, lunch, après-ski and live music are all on offer, mainly in the winter season. If you would rather keep moving, the snack bar at around 2000 m has a takeaway: ski in, pick up your food, ski out. The takeaway menu includes burgers, noodles and fries.
The place also hosts bigger occasions. The Ronnie Loves Music Festival is an open-air live music festival on the piste, and the DC Snow Show is a winter music and snowboarding event. The calendar also includes Christmas, New Year's Eve and guest DJs during the ski season. Spaces can be privatised for weddings and private parties. Tables can be reserved through the booking page on the website, which is available in English and French.
