A short drive from the marina of Porto Cervo, the Costa Smeralda opens into pink granite, hidden beaches and a sea that turns from pale turquoise to deep blue within a few metres. The village itself is compact and whitewashed, with a small piazza, a busy yacht harbour and a pace that slows after sunset. Many of my Swiss guests tell me they come for the light and the quiet, and I understand them well. No villas are listed online for Porto Cervo at the moment.
