GSTAAD
Allow me to introduce Gstaad, an Alpine resort in the Bernese Oberland, in Switzerland. It is a place I mention with particular pleasure, because it offers a great deal without ever asking for attention. Guests who come to Gstaad tend to come for three things: the chalet architecture, the skiing in winter and the music in summer.
The chalets are what you notice first. The architecture of the resort is built around the traditional chalet, and it gives Gstaad a character of its own, one that feels settled and unhurried. When you stay here, I would suggest taking a little time simply to walk through the village and look at the buildings around you. It is a quiet pleasure, and one that costs nothing but your attention.
Winter is the season of skiing. Gstaad is known for it, and many guests plan their entire stay around the slopes of the Bernese Oberland. Summer brings a different mood, with music at the heart of the resort. I mention both seasons because Gstaad rewards a visit at either time of year, and I am glad to help you decide which of them suits you better.
Getting here is something I can arrange personally. For Gstaad I offer private jet and helicopter services, so that your journey to the Bernese Oberland is as considered as your stay. Should you wish to arrive by air, I will take care of the planning and keep you informed at each step, so that nothing is left to chance on the day of travel.
If you are thinking of Gstaad, for the skiing or for the music, please tell me when you would like to travel, who will be with you and what you hope to find. I will then arrange the details quietly and carefully, as I always do. It would be a pleasure to look after you in Switzerland, from the moment you decide to come until the moment you return home.
