Bistro de la Mer is a restaurant in Knokke, and it is one of the addresses I gladly recommend to guests staying in Knokke-Le Zoute. The kitchen is classic French-Belgian, built on fresh produce of the day, and I find the value for money very good.
The menu is varied. Classic dishes alternate with a few special, innovative ones, so the card never feels predictable. Between them, it has room for both a familiar favourite and something new to try. The wine list offers a fine selection of classic wines and natural wines, and it is renewed regularly.
Inside, the interior is warm and cosy, with an intimate atmosphere, while the façade has something mysterious about it, which I rather like. The restaurant is also listed in the MICHELIN Guide, a recognition I am happy to mention.
